Plow! This is the message I have been ministering in our church the past three months. When Elijah came to set the mantle of the Lord on Elisha, Elisha was plowing. He wasn't doing anything "special" but was doing an ordinary mundane task that he had probably done for years. When Elisha's moment in life came that defined his God given and anointed purpose, he was plowing in his fathers field. I believe that plowing is two-fold here. First, it represents staying faithful right where you are presently. Don't try to manipulate. Don't try to manage. Don't try to make something happen. Be faithful right where you are. Bloom right where you now. Be faithful to that mundane and ordinary task until the power of God (the mantle) who is the Holy Spirit moves upon your life and unlocks your potential and purpose. Secondly, plowing is not only something we do, but allow God to do in us to prepare us for our destiny and purpose. In Hosea 10 we see the need to allow God to plow up the "fallow" or hard ground. The ground represents our hearts and where there are "fallow" areas that need to be broken up, we truly need the Lord to plow in our hearts. Why? To soften our hearts for the planting of His Seed (Word) in our lives and give it the best opportunity to produce a great harvest for His Kingdom. As well, to remove the debris and the obstacles that can keep us from not only being fruitful, but fulfilling our purpose. So, right where you are in life, continue to be faithful in the plowing you're given and allow the Lord to plow on in your heart so that at the right time when you're being faithful with the plowing, His power might move upon you and your destiny and purpose are made clear.
